May 8 Meeting of all Boards and Exec Council

WATCH FOR SOUP LABELS: We are collecting Campbell's Soup labels for ABW.  You will find a canister in the coat room to place your labels in.  This will go towards missions for American Baptist Women.

XYZ will have a luncheon on May 7 at noon.  Special guest speaker will be Mrs. PJ Patterson.

 XYZ will go to Hardy’s Reindeer Ranch on May 20th.

The Youth will leave for AGAPE FEST on May 2nd at 3:30 p.m.

 MAY FRIENDSHIP DAY will be May 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Misionary Baptist Church.

 THE CHALLENGE (youth group) will take place at church on May 18th from noon to 7:00 p.m. 


The Deaconess Mission for May is DOVE.  They are in need of Band-Aids, Midol/Pamprin, saran wrap, foil, healthy snacks, lice shampoos, children’s socks, baby food, baby bottles & nipples

prepaid phone cards, prepaid gasoline cards, Wal-Mart gift cards, alarm clocks, address books, journals, umbrellas, hair dryers, medicine, measuring spoons and cups, cough drops, OTC cold medicine, Chopstick, Tylenol / pain relievers, insulated lunch bags, plastic glasses
salad & cereal bowls, stacking vegetable bins, zipper vinyl mattress covers, twin size bedspreads or comforters, wash clothes, new women’s underwear, especially sizes 6 – 9, nightshirts, nightgowns, all sizes, jogging pants, M, L or XL sizes, women’s socks, size 9-11, paper towels
toilet tissue, fabric softener, toilet bowl cleaner, bathroom cleaner, sanitary pads, nail & toenail clippers, shampoo & conditioner, African American hair products, fabric softener.

Mission Year

Caleb Mechem has been accepted to participate in an inner-city mission program called Mission Year.  He will be living with 5 other people in Camden, NJ and working through a church and social agencies to make a difference there.  He has been named team leader of his group so he will have the added responsibility of leadership.  He covets your prayers.  You can read more about Mission Year at www.missionyear.org and follow Caleb through his blog at www.missionyear.org/blog/calebmechem.

Jarod Juriga is a missionary in Utsunomiya, Japan which is located about 60 miles north-northeast of Tokyo and is the capital and the most populous city of Tochigi Prefecture which is in the northern part of the Kanto Plain. In 2007, the city had an estimated population of 505,381. The Greater Utsunomiya area had a population of approximately one million.
