    Taku and Katie serve as country coordinators for India, providing mission coordination of international ministries personnel and partners in the country.  They also serve as advisers and consultants to the Orissa Bihar Baptist Churches' Association and to the Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI).  Taku works with CBCNEI and its six member convention to strengthen mission training supervision, caring and support while Katie's focus is promoting worship and providing counseling training.

    Terry and Tom Meyers, Baptist Union of Bulgaria

    Terry and Tom help the Baptist Union of Bulgaria give holistic expression of the gospel.  Tom works primary in development and in job and small business creation, using these as a means to address the issues of poverty and trafficking.  Tom is also involved in a business-as-mission project, which will support the ministry outreaches of Sofia Baptist Church, build connections with ministries working in community development around the world and provide a place for job training.  Terry's work includes managing a literacy program with Roma children, working with victims of human trafficking, coordinating the Union's partnership with American Baptist International Miniseries and providing support to short-term mission teams.

    Tim and Kathy Rice, DEMOCRATIC Republic of congo

    Tim and Kathy Rice are associate missionaries jointly appointed by both International Ministeries and New City Felloship in St. Louis to serve as medical missionaries in the Vanga Evangelical Hospital int he Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).  The Rices are from St. Louis m Missouri, where Tim is a doctor on the faculty of the School of Medicine at St. Louis University.  Kathy is a registered nurse.  They got involved in the DRC though the ministry of their church.  The Rices's vision is to train the next generation of Congolese doctors and nurses in Christ-centered, whole-personal care, empowering them to use the limited resources available to restore life and health across the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

    The Rankin Christian Center is a non-profit, faith-based community social service agency, primarily focusing on serving the underserved communities in the Mon Valley of Allegheny County.

    Our agency houses program services to at-risk individuals from birth to senior citizens.

    Through our comprehensive network of service delivery, we provide a holistic approach to individuals and families, enhancing their opportunities to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually, thereby allowing us the opportunity to positively impact the future of those we serve and ultimately our region.

    Incorporated in April of 1951, Friendship House began as a cooperative effort by the American Baptist Church and the local Council of Churches.


    Today, Friendship House is still located at 800 NE Madison and continues to offer programs to the community and minister to those individuals and families who need it most. Friendship House serves approximately 10,000 individuals per year.


    The core partnership of this inner city ministry includes American Baptist, United Methodist Church, Disciples of Christ, the Presbytery of Peoria and the Congregational Christian Conference, providing the ecumenical base of support for the Friendship House programs which continues today.

    Bethel Neighborhood Center Kansas City, KS

    Bethel opened its doors on April 1, 1911, as a mission center of The Women's Baptist Home Mission Society, which is now known as the American Baptist Women's Ministries. The primary mission was to serve needy families living near or working in the meat-packing plants of the West Bottoms of Kansas City. Many of them were new immigrants from Eastern European countries. Our neighborhood has gone through many changes over the last 104 years, but our mission remains the same.

  • ABC ABWM FBC National Special Project

    Deborah's House Tijuana, Mexico

    Deborah's House is a recovery residence for abused women and children.  The residence was stared and funded by American Baptist Churches USA.  The residence has been in existence since 2006. American Baptist Women's Ministry of GRR has named this their special project for 2016-2017 to provide furniture for the classroom in the new building. The goal is $15,000.

  • FBC Supports #Six Goods Go to Hungary

    The Rev. Dr. Jon and Amanda Good are endorsed to prepare for ministries of evangelism, discipleship, education and theological education in partnership with the Baptist Union of Hungary.  Amanda will assist with music education at the school managed by the Baptist Church in Debrecen, as well as those managed by Hungarian Baptist Aid (HBAid).  She will also assist with discipleship ministries of the Baptist Church in Debrecen.  John will assist the Baptist Church in Debrecen with its evangelistic outreach, church planting and church development ministries, and will assist in the training of Christian leaders through the Union's seminary.  Amanda and Jon will also work with the church planting efforts of HBAid.  Click Here For Good Web Pages https://sixgoodsgo.com/

  • FBC Supports The Coats Family

    Tan (Aphiwan) and Scott are jointly appointed missionaries of International Ministries and HOPE International Development Agency.  From their home in Chiang Rai, Thailand, they support Thai nationals in their own ministries as they seek to impact the lives of the ethnic minority peoples who inhabit the hills of norther Thailand, the Easter Shan State of Myanmar and neighboring countries.  These partner organizations empower communities to organize for social and economic change.
